Guidelines for on-site service:

1. Regardless of the issue we will be troubleshooting, we often need to utilize software and operating system discs.  If you have these in a place that the technician can get to (i.e. on your desk or a nearby table) it would help speed up the repair process tremendously.
2. ABS does not discount service based on the time we are at your facility.  In other words, if our technician is on site for 1 1/2 hours, our charge is 2 hours.  However, remember that if a tech is completed with a fix in that time, you are paying for the additional half hour.  Feel free to ask as many computer/technology questions in the half hour remaining.  We are at your location to serve you better, not just to make money or make you feel like your paying for a service that you're not truly getting a benefit from.
3. We at ABS ask that you not try to fix the problem before we arrive or before you contact us to schedule service.  We understand that your time is precious and that your dollars have value.  We want to do the best job we can for you and correct the problem.  However, many times it's more difficult to do so if several troubleshooting steps have been taken prior to our arrival that will affect the process of debugging the original problem because additional troubleshooting and corrective action prior to our arrival can lead to more lengthy troubleshooting by our techs which ends up costing you more money than need be.  Abacus also realizes that sometimes this is not possible, and will do our very best to give you the high quality of service you expect in any and all situations.
4. Server repair and problems can sometimes only be taken care of when people are not using the server.  If your business only has one server or the server computer we need to take down hosts critical data or applications, please let the Network Engineer know that when you schedule the appointment so we can plan accordingly.
